Propagandists promote their narratives through pseudo-advertising and anti-Ukrainian blogger from Pryluky

Amid Ukraine's operation in Russia's Kursk region, the army of the aggressor country loses territory, materiel and manpower, and its military personnel surrender en masse. Russian propaganda tries to "hide" Russian failures on the battlefield.

Ukrinform has recently published a fact check debunking yet another fake of Russian propagandists regarding Ukraine's "huge losses" in the Kursk region. It seems that this is the main topic in Russia's disinformation campaign regarding the Ukrainian offensive in the Kursk region.

Our team found out that Russian media outlets, pro-war Telegram channels and bots on X are publishing photos of advertisements that were allegedly taken near a hospital in Sumy. The text states that the hospital administration is looking for refrigerated trucks, allegedly due to "high losses" in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

This is a fake. The contact phone number listed in these ads allegedly belongs to a man named Dmytro. However, using the Getcontact mobile application, we found out that this is the phone number of a girl named Daria.

She told an Ukrinform correspondent that she did not post such ads. The girl said that she lives in Kyiv and has never been to Sumy.

In addition, the photo of the refrigerator, which Russian propagandists used to create a fake ad, was published earlier on the website of a Russian online store.

Another fake, which Russian Telegram channels began to spread, was produced in Ukraine. In a video on TikTok, a blogger nicknamed oleksandr_inform tells in Ukrainian, sitting in his car, that the Ukrainian army allegedly suffered "heavy losses" in the Kursk region and that morgues in the Sumy region seem to be overcrowded.

This is a fake. This TikTok blogger lives in Pryluky, Chernihiv region, and regularly records fake and manipulated videos about the economic situation, mobilization and the war in Ukraine.

In his numerous videos, including the one about "losses in the Kursk region," he does not provide any evidence, but simply expresses his personal unsupported opinion.

Russian propaganda earlier spread a fake about a priest of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine praying for Trump's repose.

Ukrinform reported earlier that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had taken control of more than 1,000 square kilometers of territory and dozens of settlements in the Kursk region.

Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi said that Ukrainian troops had advanced by 1 to 3 kilometers in some sectors in the Kursk region.
