Organizer: State Service for Special Communication and Information Protection
Speaker: Yuriy Shchygol - head of the State Service for Special Communication and Information Protection
Topics for discussion:
• how much money was transferred by Ukrainians;
• how drones are procured, transferred, and supplied.
Short. Drones are an important tool of the modern army. Their use makes it possible to conduct remote reconnaissance and identify the location of the enemy's forces and equipment, ammunition depots - and also remotely adjust fire. And therefore, to protect human lives. That is why Ukraine is building a new technological Ukrainian Army according to NATO standards, which will be able to conduct combat operations with minimal losses. Within the framework of the UNITED24 project, the "Army of Drones" initiative was introduced. Every Ukrainian or citizen of another country can transfer their money for the purchase of drones or hand over an already purchased drone to the Ukrainian Army. These funds will be used by the State Special Forces to buy reconnaissance drones, as well as small drones that will help our soldiers. In the first three days from the start of this initiative, it was possible to collect almost UAH 200 million.
