Russia hiding preparations for war under slogans of peace – U.S. embassy
According to Ukrinform, the embassy said this in a post on Twitter.
"How do you know Russia means war? They scream 'Peace!' Now Kremlin's propaganda machine is running at full speed to mask thousands of troops massing at Ukraine's border," U.S. diplomats.

The embassy also released a video quoting statements by Russian officials about their alleged desire for peace, providing video facts of Russia's military aggression and warning that Russia has now spread disinformation that Ukraine is an "aggressor" in order to justify its pre-planned military action.
"The threat of military escalation is real, but the Kremlin's information war has long been unfolding in full. Their word cannot be trusted. We saw this in the past. Kremlin does not want peace," the embassy warned.
Finally, U.S. diplomats said hybrid warfare aims to split polarize and intimidate Ukrainian society, "but we remain united, and together we will fight back the lies of the Kremlin."
The U.S. Embassy in Ukraine earlier called on U.S. citizens staying in the country to consider departing now using commercial or other privately available transportation options since "the security situation in Ukraine continues to be unpredictable due to the increased threat of Russian military action and can deteriorate with little notice."
