Scouting has brought many patriots in Ukraine - Yanukovych

KYIV, April 28 /UKRINFORM/. Scouting has brought many real patriots of Ukraine, Ukraine's President Viktor Yanukovych said in his message of greetings to the organizers and participants of the Ukrainian Scout Forum on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Ukrainian scouting.

UKRINFORM learned this from the press service of the National Organization of Scouts of Ukraine.

"The national scouting has brought many famous people - true patriots of this country, and has become a school of life for millions of children," the message of Yanukovych reads.

According to the President of Ukraine, scouting is the most common socially useful organization of young people in the world that instills love of country, forms honesty, integrity, leadership and active citizenship qualities.

"I am convinced that this way you are building a new, modern Ukraine, strengthening its capacity and international standing," the President says.

The 100th anniversary of Ukrainian scouting is celebrated at the national level: relevant decisions were made by the President of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada, as well as local authorities.

The Ukrainian Scout Forum is conducted by the National Organization of Scouts of Ukraine with the support of the State Service of Youth and Sports of Ukraine.
