Moldovan PM Leanca: Ukraine, Moldova speak 'a common language'
KYIV, June 4 /Ukrinform/. Moldovan Prime Minister Iurie Leanca believes that Ukraine and Moldova speak “a common language", using the same rhetoric and pursuing the same goal.
He told this to the public television of Moldova in an interview
"I have many times had to talk to the President and the Prime Minister of Ukraine. I have the impression that we speak a common language, use the same rhetoric, and we have the same goal. Frankly, I was very happy when I phoned Petro Poroshenko to congratulate him on his election, and he replied in Romanian: Noroc si voie buna (a traditional Moldovan greeting "Hello and good mood!"), Leanca said.
Speaking about the bilateral dialogue between Moldova and Ukraine, the prime minister noted that this dialogue is extremely important for Moldova not only because it is the two neighboring countries and between them there is the unrecognized Transnistria, and the Ukrainian diaspora - the largest in Moldova. "The dialogue with Ukraine is important for Moldova primarily because Ukraine is a strong regional power, and the situation in this country will have far-reaching consequences for the wider region and for Moldova, including," Leanca noted.
