KYIV, July 23 /Ukrinform/. Representatives of Malaysia handed flight recorders from the Boeing 777 downed by the pro-Russian terrorists in Donetsk region over to Dutch investigators, BBC Ukraine reported citing the Malaysian Foreign Ministry.

Investigators of the Dutch Safety Board, which manages an international investigation into the plane crash, will deliver the flight recorders for deciphering to Farnborough in England on a Belgian plane.

The UK Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB), located in Farnborough, is one of the two institutions in Europe with special equipment for deciphering the "black boxes". Such equipment is also available in France.

A reminder that the Malaysia Airlines passenger jet, flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, on July 17 was shot down near the village of Hrabovo in Donetsk region. All 298 people aboard were killed.

Leaders of the so-called “Donetsk People's Republic” handed the Boeing 777 flight recorders over to the Malaysian side on Tuesday night.
