EU-Ukraine summit takes place in Kyiv today

KYIV, April 27 /Ukrinform/. On Monday, April 27, the XVII EU-Ukraine summit will take place in the presidential administration in Kyiv.

According to the press service of the President, a welcoming ceremony of the summit participants will be held at 12:10, and a plenary session of the EU-Ukraine summit will take place at 14:40.

A joint press conference of President of Ukraine Poroshenko, President of the European Council Donald Tusk and President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker will be held at 16:15.

Yesterday the President of the European Council said he did not expect high-level breakthrough results in relations between the parties from this meeting.

However, Tusk assured of his devotion to introduce soon a visa-free regime for Ukrainians with the EU.

At the same time, Poroshenko expressed hope to receive signals in support of Ukraine and its European integration at the summit.
