Poroshenko plans to visit Kazakhstan

He said this during a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, the press service of the Head of State reports.

"The parties discussed the issue of bilateral relations between Ukraine and Kazakhstan. President Poroshenko informed on his intention to visit Kazakhstan in response to the invitation of President Nazarbayev. Preparation to the visit is already carried out. It is planned to conduct the meeting of the Interstate Ukrainian-Kazakh Commission on Economic Cooperation," the statement says.

The Presidents called for peaceful resolution of the situation in Donbas through the implementation of existing agreements. Poroshenko said that he counted on further steps by Nazarbayev aimed at promotion of full implementation of the Minsk agreements and restoration of peace and stability in Donbas.

The President also congratulated Nazarbayev on his 75th birthday. "I wish you a strong health and further success in a responsible state activity for peace and security in the world," the Head of State said.
