Kernes: cooperation with Russia - certainty about tomorrow

Hennadiy Kernes has said that in spite of a two-year aggression of Russia against Ukraine, the cooperation with Moscow is a guarantee of prosperity and certainty about tomorrow.
The newly elected Chairman of Kharkiv City Council, Hennadiy Kernes, said in an interview with Ukrainska Pravda.
“My view is that we should revive economic ties [with Russia], as a lot of enterprises of Kharkiv region are adjusted to the Russian market. These are jobs, family budget, income, certainty about tomorrow,” the mayor said, commenting on the information that it’s difficult for front-line Kharkiv to attract investments.
At the same time, Kernes said he would like “all participants of possible processes aimed at reviving relations [with Russia] could work without policy”.
