More than 60 Ukrainian political prisoners are still detained in the prisons of the Russian Federation, 22 of them are held in Russia, the rest - in the occupied Crimea.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said this during a press conference, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"There are more than 60 political prisoners, 22 of them, as you know, are held in Russia, others - in the territory of the occupied Crimea," he said.

At the same time, Klimkin recalls that last year Ukraine managed to "restructure" a platform for the release of political prisoners, and now Ukraine has a direct video bridge with the occupied Crimea that allows quickly responding to the needs of families of political prisoners.
