President signs law strengthening social protection of Ukrainian military
"The implementation of the law will help strengthen the social protection of family members of people who died after retirement from service as a result of injuries, contusions, injuries or illnesses sustained in connection with the protection of the fatherland, and will help grant them the amount of rights to one-time cash assistance that are enjoyed by family members of those who died in the status of servicepersons," the statement reads.
The law provides for the granting of the right to receive one-time cash aid to family members of those who were killed or died as a result of disease, injury, contusions, injuries during the period of military service, or died after retirement from service.
The list of reasons for receiving one-time cash assistance by military personnel was also expanded, and the right to one-time cash assistance was granted to the family members of foreigners and stateless persons who died after retirement from service due to illness, injury, contusions or injuries received during military service in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
