The North Caucasus Military District Court in Russian city of Rostov-on-Don has delivered a sentence in the so-called "Hizb ut-Tahrir case."

“Enver Mamutov was sentenced to 17 years in a maximum security penal colony. Others [Remzi Memetov, Ruslan Abiltarov and Zevri Abseitov] were sentenced to 9 years in a maximum security penal colony,” Emil Kurbedinov, the lawyer of one of defendants, posted on Facebook.

As reported, the first group of Bakhchisaray residents accused of involvement in the Hizb ut-Tahrir organization was detained on May 12, 2016 in the occupied Crimea after a series of raids on homes of Crimean Tatars in Bakhchisarai and a local cafe. Later, Zevri Abseitov, Remzi Memetov, Rustem Abiltarov and Enver Mamutov were arrested and charged with terrorism.
