Ukraine upholds entry restrictions for Russian men aged 16-60 years

The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine extended the restrictive measures regarding the entry of Russian men aged 16-60 years into Ukraine.

“Taking into account the complicated security situation, all the Interior Ministry bodies continue working in the intensive line of duty. In particular, the National Security and Defense Council extended the restrictive measures of the State Border Guard Service regarding the entry of Russian men into Ukraine,” First Deputy Interior Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Yarovyi announced, the press service of the Interior Ministry reports.

Yarovyi also noted that 1,489 facilities remained to be protected by the police, of which 188 had been taken under protection with the introduction of martial law.

“123 of them are particularly important, 39 courts and other bodies and institutions of the judicial system. In addition, the police have taken under protection 13 ports on the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov. The National Guard protects 161 state facilities, diplomatic missions and consular offices. 1,239 officers have been involved,” he added.

As reported, the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine imposed new sanctions on Russia at its meeting on December 26.
