Ukraine's prosecutor general resigns

Ukraine's Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko has filed a letter of resignation, his spokesperson Larysa Sarhan states.
"Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko signed a letter of resignation addressed to President Zelensky," the spokesperson wrote on Facebook.
On August 21, Lutsenko announced that he would resign as soon as the new Verkhovna Rada began to work.
