Office of Prosecutor General calls on Canada to provide information relating to UIA plane crash

"The Office of the Prosecutor General has called on Canada to provide information available to the Canadian side that may facilitate the criminal investigation into the UIA plane crash," reads the statement.

It notes that on January 9, Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau in his official speech released information that may indicate that the Canadian side has evidence, including intelligence agencies, about the possible downing of the UIA plane heading from Tehran to Kyiv.

As reported, Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) flight PS752 crashed shortly after taking off from Tehran on January 8, killing all 176 passengers and crew members on board. According to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, the victims include 11 nationals of Ukraine (two passengers and nine crew members), 63 Canadians, 82 Iranians, 10 Swedes, four citizens of Afghanistan, three Germans, and three British nationals.
