Zelensky expects Normandy format meeting to take place after talks of advisers

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky had a phone conversation with President of the Republic of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda, the Ukrainian president’s press service reported on Monday evening.

During the talk, President Zelensky said he hopes that the date of a meeting of leaders of the Normandy Four countries (Ukraine, France, Germany and Russia) will be set after the meeting of their advisers.

"I hope that after the meeting of the advisers to leaders of the Normandy Four countries, we will understand when a meeting of the leaders of these countries should take place. We all need to make efforts to achieve peace," Zelensky said.

He thanked official Vilnius and personally Gitanas Nausėda for the continued support of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Also, President Zelensky informed President Nausėda of the current security situation in Donbas. President Zelensky expressed deep concern over the ceasefire violation by the illegal armed groups, which took place on September 6. One Ukrainian soldier was killed and another one was wounded.
