Verkhovna Rada planning to consider draft state budget on Friday

Speaker Dmytro Razumkov stated this at a meeting of the Agenda-Setting Council on September 14, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"I would like to remind you that by tomorrow, September 15, the state budget of Ukraine for 2021 must be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. As I know, it will be tabled in the Verkhovna Rada on time," he said.

Razumkov also called on the head of the parliamentary committee on budget, Yuriy Aristov, to review the draft state budget so that the Verkhovna Rada can consider the document in the session hall on Friday.

As reported, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the draft state budget for 2021 at an extraordinary meeting on Monday.

Earlier, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal stated that the draft state budget for 2021 provides for a 4.7% growth in GDP, the projected budget deficit at up to 6%, the hryvnia exchange rate at up to UAH 29 per U.S. dollar.

According to the Budget Code of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers approves and submits a draft law on the state budget for next year to Parliament by September 15.
