Ukraine, UK to work out mechanisms to fight against cross-border and cybercrime - Avakov
"Together with Secretary of State for the Home Department Priti Patel, we agreed to work out mechanisms to combat cross-border and cybercrime, illegal migration and operational data exchange. We are ready to cooperate bilaterally," Avakov stressed.
The parties agreed to send Ukrainian experts to the UK to learn about the system for recording violations, their processing and analysis for possible implementation in Ukraine.
Among other issues of bilateral cooperation is the acquaintance with the system of issuance of biometric passports.
The parties also agreed that Ukrainian experts would visit Britain to learn about the latest system of passport protection and document examination.
The meeting took place as part of an official visit of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to London.
As reported by Ukrinform, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba and Interior Minister Arsen Avakov met with UK Prime Minister's International Affairs Adviser David Quarrey to discuss security cooperation between Ukraine and the United Kingdom.
