Yermak: Advisers to leaders of Normandy format countries could meet by end of January
Head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak told journalists that "difficult consultations" within the Normandy format are constantly taking place.
According to Yermak, the meeting of advisers, scheduled for December, was postponed at the initiative of the Russian side.
The date of the meeting has not been defined yet. Yermak also stressed that "there are no changes in Ukraine’s stance."
On September 11, the talks at the level of political advisers to the leaders of the Normandy format countries were held in Berlin. They lasted seven hours. The main topics of discussion were the progress of implementation of the agreements reached at the Normandy format Paris Summit which took place in 2019, the preparations for the next summit, ceasefire regime in Donbas, progress in the Trilateral Contact Group activities, exchange of detainees and others.
Ukraine was represented at the meeting by Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Oleksiy Reznikov and Head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak. The delegation also included representatives of the National Security and Defense Council, the Verkhovna Rada, the ministries of defense and foreign affairs, etc.
On December 9, 2019, the summit of the leaders of the Normandy format countries - Ukraine, France, Germany and Russia - took place in Paris.
