Ukrainian MPs meet with Blinken and Nuland

Leaders of Ukrainian parliamentary factions and Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Razumkov have held a meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and U.S. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland, according to the press service of the Servant of the People party.

"Leader of the Servant of the People faction David Arakhamia together with other faction leaders and Verkhovna Rada Chairman Dmytro Razumkov met with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, U.S. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland and Acting Assistant Secretary of State Philip Reeker,” reads the report.

During the meeting, the U.S. Secretary of State said that the issue of support for Ukraine was among the main topics at the G7 summit, as well as at the meeting of NATO member states.

Arakhamia called on the U.S. side to study the possibility of concluding a bilateral agreement on strategic military cooperation between the United States and Ukraine. Blinken said that the United States is a strategic ally of Ukraine in the field of security and building democratic institutions.

In addition, the Ukrainian side asked for support in obtaining a Membership Action Plan in NATO and assured that Ukraine would continue reforms.
