Denisova, Chubarov discuss violation of rights of Kremlin’s Crimean prisoners
"We discussed the observance of the rights of Ukrainian citizens who are illegally detained in the territory of the Russian Federation and the temporarily occupied Crimea. In particular, their procedural rights, the right to medical care and decent detention conditions," Denisova posted on Telegram.
Denisova stressed that the name of each Kremlin prisoner should be heard at all negotiating platforms, including the Crimean Platform summit.
"International support will contribute to the struggle for human rights in the temporarily occupied Crimea and the release of all illegally imprisoned citizens of Ukraine," the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights added.
As a reminder, Ukraine intends to launch on August 23 the Crimean Platform – a new consultative and coordination format initiated by Ukraine to step up the efficiency of international response to the occupation of Crimea, respond to growing security challenges, increase international pressure on Russia, prevent further human rights violations, protect victims of the occupation regime, and achieve the main goal: to de-occupy Crimea and return it to Ukraine.
