Thirty-two countries confirm participation in Crimea Platform summit

Thirty-two countries have already confirmed their participation in the inaugural summit of the Crimea Platform.

"One more country has confirmed participation – now there are 32 participants," Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba posted on Facebook.

Kuleba added that "huge support for the Crimea Platform" was expressed at all meetings during his visit to Washington together with Head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak.

As a reminder, the constituent meeting of the Crimea Platform expert network will take place in Kyiv on August 6.

The Crimea Platform is a new consultative and coordination format initiated by Ukraine to step up the efficiency of international response to the occupation of Crimea, respond to growing security challenges, increase international pressure on Russia, prevent further human rights violations, protect victims of the occupation regime, and achieve the main goal: to de-occupy Crimea and return it to Ukraine.

The Platform is expected to operate at several levels: heads of state and government, foreign ministers, inter-parliamentary cooperation, expert network.

The activity of the Crimea Platform will be officially launched at the inaugural summit in Kyiv on August 23, 2021.
