Malta recognizes Ukrainian digital COVID certificates

Malta recognized the Ukrainian digital COVID-19 vaccination certificates pursuant to the EU recommendation.

"We make efforts to bolster freedom and safety of travel of Ukrainian citizens, even under difficult conditions of COVID-19 pandemic," Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba posted on Twitter.

As reported, the European Commission endorsed a decision to accept Ukrainian COVID certificates in the European Union from August 20. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine welcomed the decision of the European Commission on mutual recognition of digital COVID certificates issued by Ukraine and the EU, but at the same time reminded that now member states should adopt similar decisions.
