PM Shmyhal takes part in Moldova’s Independence Day celebrations

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal took part in the celebrations on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Moldova's independence, Ukrinform reports with reference to the Government portal.

"With a difference of three days, Ukraine and Moldova celebrate the 30th anniversary of their independence. I am glad to be personally at the celebration in Chisinau and to congratulate the Moldovan people on the anniversary. I wish our friends and neighbors prosperity and well-being," Shmyhal said in his greeting.

The participants of the ceremonial events watched the military parade held on the Great National Assembly Square and walked through the central street of Chisinau.

On Friday, August 27, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Chisinau to take part in celebrations marking 30 years of Moldova's independence.

Zelensky promised that Ukraine will always support Moldova's territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders.
