Shmyhal proposes holding Lublin Triangle summit at level of prime ministers
Shmyhal stated this at a joint press conference with Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki as part of the 30th Economic Forum in Karpacz, Poland, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
"The Lublin Triangle is acquiring new quality forms of cooperation. I have proposed holding a meeting of the heads of government of the Lublin Triangle countries in the near future so as to bring our trilateral cooperation to a new level," Shmyhal said.
He also stressed Ukraine's desire to become an "integral part of the Three Seas Initiative," which currently unites only EU countries.
"The member states of the initiative have repeatedly emphasized the prospects for such cooperation. I believe that this format will help bring our economies closer and improve our relations," Shmyhal said.
He also thanked Morawiecki for Poland's active support for the Crimea Platform, including Polish President Andrzej Duda's participation in the August summit of the Platform.
Shmyhal thanked Morawiecki for Poland's continued support for Ukraine's territorial integrity, Warsaw's strong position on Russia's aggressive actions, including the extension of sanctions against Russia and support for Ukraine's European integration.
