Zelensky speaks at UN about attack on his aide's car
He stated this in his speech at the UN General Assembly, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
"For me, each night before the General Assembly has been a sleepless one. Back in 2019, I was nervous before my first speech. 2020 was altogether a sleepless year for the whole world because of COVID-19. And I want to tell you in greater detail about last night," Zelensky said.
He said that at 03:00 New York time, he received dozens of phone calls because the first aide to the president of Ukraine "has been attacked."
"Twelve shots fired, three of those hit the driver. This is the price of changes in the country. This is the price of reform," Zelensky said.
Zelensky on September 20 started a working visit to the United States to participate in the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
