Yermak, Taylor discuss security situation in Europe in context of Nord Stream 2

Head of the Ukrainian President's Office Andriy Yermak and Vice President of the U.S. Institute of Peace's Office of Strategic Stability and Security, former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine William Taylor have discussed the issue of energy security in Europe, in particular in the context of the Nord Stream 2 project.

The meeting took place in Washington on November 9, Ukrinform reports with a reference to the president’s press.

"The interlocutors exchanged views on the security situation around Ukraine, discussed possible steps to resume freedom of navigation in the Black and Azov Seas, as well as energy security in Europe, in particular in the context of the Nord Stream 2 project," the report reads.

In addition, Yermak informed Taylor about Ukraine’s preparations for the Leaders’ Summit for Democracy, which will be attended by President Volodymyr Zelensky.
