Kuleba to make two-day visit to Britain

On December 8-9, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba will make a visit to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland at the invitation of Liz Truss, UK Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Affairs.

As the Ministry’s press service informs, Kuleba and Truss will hold a preparatory meeting of the UK–Ukraine Strategic Partnership Dialogue.

"The Strategic Partnership Dialogue is a new format of the UK–Ukraine relations and is launched in accordance with a comprehensive agreement signed by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson in London in October 2020," reads the statement.

The parties will also discuss steps to strengthen the UK–Ukraine relations in the political, trade, economic, security and defense spheres.

Kuleba will separately raise the issue of visa liberalization for Ukrainian citizens.

The meeting of the Strategic Partnership Dialogue will also be attended by representatives of relevant ministries and departments of Ukraine and the United Kingdom who will agree on further cooperation both at bilateral level and within international organizations.

Kuleba and Truss will also hold bilateral talks, focusing on consolidation of support for Ukraine against the background of Russia's aggressive actions, energy security, joint response to challenges in the wider Black Sea region.

The program of the visit also includes Kuleba's speech at an event dedicated to Ukraine's investment opportunities.

As reported, on September 23, during a meeting in New York, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson discussed cooperation between the two countries in a number of areas.
