Zelensky thanks Trudeau for supporting Ukraine's defense capabilities

“Grateful to Canada and my friend Justin Trudeau for a timely decision. Appreciate extension and expansion of Unifier as well as a provision of non-lethal equipment, intelligence sharing and support to defend against the cyber attacks,” reads the tweet.
As reported, Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau announced the extension of the UNIFIER military training mission in Ukraine for another three years, as well as doubling the size of a mission to train the Ukrainian military and transferring military non-lethal equipment to Ukraine.
As part of Operation UNIFIER, there are about 200 Canadian Armed Forces members in Ukraine. They are deployed in various locations in central and western Ukraine, with the headquarters in Yavoriv, Lviv region. Since the mission began in 2015, more than 33,000 Ukrainian servicepersons have been trained.
