Stoltenberg thanks Erdogan for support of Ukraine

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has thanked Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for his efforts to find a political solution to the situation around Ukraine.
Stoltenberg said this in a post on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.
"Spoke to President Erdogan to discuss Russia's buildup in and around Ukraine. I thanked him for his active support & personal engagement to find a political solution, and welcomed Turkey's strong practical support to Ukraine," Stoltenberg wrote.
He also said that NATO remains ready for dialogue.
Earlier, Stoltenberg briefed European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on Russia's continued military build-up and destabilizing actions in and around Ukraine, emphasizing the importance of close coordination between NATO and the EU on further steps, including possible sanctions against Russia.
