Zelensky awaits Normandy format summit soon
"The peace process was one of the key issues of our meeting today. We expect that we will be able to hold the next round of talks of the Normandy format leaders in the near future, in accordance with the agreements reached during the Paris Summit in December 2019," Zelensky said at a joint press conference with Macron, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
According to him, an important step towards the summit is the intensification of dialogue at the level of political advisers. The previous meeting of advisers was held on January 26, and the next one is scheduled "in the coming days", he noted.
"We hope that the meeting on January 26 and the upcoming talks in Berlin will bring us closer to the Normandy format summit," Zelensky said.
As reported, President of France Emmanuel Macron is on a working visit to Ukraine on Tuesday.
The day before, Macron held talks with Russian president Vladimir Putin in Moscow.
