Biden, Macron discuss outcome of latter’s trips to Moscow, Kyiv

During a telephone call with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, U.S. President Joe Biden discussed Macron’s recent meetings with the presidents of Russia and Ukraine.

This was reported by Ukrinform with reference to the White House press service.

According to the statement, the leaders also spoke about “ongoing diplomatic and deterrence efforts, undertaken in close coordination with our Allies and partners, in response to Russia’s continued military build-up on Ukraine’s borders.”

This is Biden and Macron's third conversation within a week.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on February 7, French President Emmanuel Macron met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow. On February 8, Macron arrived on a working visit to Kyiv, where he was received by his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky.
