Zelensky hopes Normandy Four summit will be held soon
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said this at a briefing following his meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Kyiv on Monday, February 14, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
"In a short time, we managed to hold two rounds of talks between the political advisers of the Normandy Four in Paris and Berlin. In this context, I would like to note the role of the new German federal government and personally Mr. Chancellor. It is important that Mr. Scholz and I share a common vision of a peaceful approach. We expect that in the near future we will be able to hold further talks and agree on a summit of the N4 leaders," Zelensky said.
He recalled that tomorrow, February 15, Scholz would make a visit to Moscow, where he will present not only the German position, but also the united position of the entire transatlantic community, a priority for which is the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
Zelensky noted that he highly appreciates the fact that on the eve of his visit to Russia the head of the German government held talks in Kyiv.
"Ukraine's security is Europe's security. I am convinced that through joint efforts we will be able to find ways to protect our common home," Zelensky said.
