Consultations regarding second round of peace talks underway – Arestovych

The relevant statement was made by Advisor to the Head of the Ukrainian President’s Office Oleksiy Arestovych in a commentary to Ukrinform.

“As for negotiations. It is unknown if they take place or not. Currently, consultations regarding the date, duration and place are underway. […] Indeed, we cannot rule out that they will take place today [March 2, 2022 – Ed.], but consultations are still underway,” Arestovych told.

In his words, an official statement in this regard will soon be released.

A reminder that, on February 28, 2022, the Ukrainian and Russian delegations met at the Ukrainian-Belarusian border near the Prypiat River. The key issue of talks was the immediate ceasefire and the withdrawal of Russian troops from the territory of Ukraine.
