Nausėda: We must stop funding Putin's war
"Lithuania handed over defensive weapons to the Ukrainian armed forces. I hope that in this way Ukraine will come closer to victory and peace. In addition, the Lithuanian leader called for a ban on Russian oil and gas and the imposition of sanctions against all Russian banks.
"It can't wait a year or two. Ukrainians suffer and die every day: children, women, the elderly. We must stop funding Putin's war," Nausėda said.
"For many years, Lithuania had only one source of gas, and that was Russia. We managed to sever energy ties with the aggressor, and I believe that the rest of Europe will be able to do the same. This is a matter of political will," said the President of Lithuania.
