Zelensky, Steinmeier speak over phone on Thursday - Yermak

The head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak, said that today President Volodymyr Zelensky had a phone call with President of the Federal Republic of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
The official reported the news via Telegram.
"The call between President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and President of the Federal Republic of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier really did take place today," Yermak said.
He noted that Germany remains a powerful ally of Ukraine.
"There will be an official announcement on the details, so I can only say that the hope of the Russians for the split of European unity in support of Ukraine is in vain," Yermak said.
As reported earlier, Federal President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier stated his readiness to hold talks with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
