The priority objective is to end the war and withdraw Russian troops at least to the borders of February 23.

Meanwhile, such issues as the certain areas of Donetsk Region and Luhansk Region (CADLR) and the temporarily occupied Crimea must be resolved at a meeting between the President of Ukraine and the President of Russia.

The relevant statement was made by Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak in an interview with RBC-Ukraine, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Today the priority objective is to end the war and withdraw Russian troops at least to the borders of February 23. CADLR and Crimea are the challenging issues, which must be the subject of talks between the two presidents. The President of Ukraine is ready to sit and talk,” Yermak told.

According to Yermak, no matter what, Ukraine’s independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity will not be traded off.

“We have our Ukrainian territories, and we have always talked about that. The question is how we will bring them back. Hence, as far as possible, we are ready to sit and talk today. But, such conversation is adequate only if we go back to where we have started, February 23, and then we will talk about what will be happening. We have been continuously saying that such issues must be the subject of talks between President Zelensky and President Putin,” Yermak noted.

A reminder that, on April 23, 2022, during a press conference with the mass media, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky noted that he was insisting on holding talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in person, as the delivery of information via mediators would not bring a desired result.
