Croatia will continue to support Ukraine - Plenkovic
Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic said this at a joint briefing with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv on Sunday, May 8, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
Plenkovic noted that Croatia highly appreciates the resilience and resistance of the Ukrainian people to Russian aggression. He also expressed solidarity with Ukraine.
"Croatia has consistently supported Ukraine in political, diplomatic, legal, financial, humanitarian and technical terms. We will continue to provide this assistance, clearly understanding that we are doing this as a country that has always been convinced that we are on the right side of history, on the right side of ethics," Plenković said.
He added that Croatia would certainly support further restrictive measures against Russia at EU level.
"We supported five previous packages and are now cooperating on the sixth package," he said.
Plenkovic also noted that Croatia has always supported Ukraine on its path to the EU and promised assistance in further steps at the level of the European Council.
Plenkovic and Croatian Foreign Minister Gordan Grlic-Radman arrived in Kyiv on May 8.
