President of the European Council arrives in Odesa

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Telegram after holding a video conference with President of the European Council Charles Michel, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Talked to President of the European Council Charles Michel, who paid a visit to Odesa. It is important to prevent the food crisis in the world, which has been caused by Russia’s aggressive actions. It is necessary to take immediate measures to unblock Ukrainian ports for grain exports,” Zelensky wrote.

The President of Ukraine thanked the President of the European Council for his bold position and personal presence in Odesa. Zelensky also expressed gratitude to the EU for continuous assistance to Ukraine in many areas.

A reminder that, as part of the war against Ukraine, Russia is blocking Ukrainian ports and destroying production facilities, which may cause the global food crisis.
