Podoliak: Weapons for Ukraine today are key to global food security
Mykhailo Podoliak, an adviser to the head of the President's Office, wrote this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.
"There is a need to understand the cause and effect of global processes. Russia has threatened the world's food security by waging war in Ukraine. The only way to restore order is to help us achieve victory. The key to the world's food security is weapons for Ukraine," Podoliak said.
Earlier, U.S. President Joe Biden said that the United States and Europe were looking for a way to help Ukraine bring grain to the world market.
He noted that Ukraine has 20 million tonnes of grain in warehouses and storage facilities and is trying to find ways to bring it to the world market, which would reduce global food prices. Under normal circumstances, the export of this grain would have started long ago, but this is hindered by Russian aggression, Biden said.
