Ukrainian parliament may designate Putin as war criminal
Ukrinform
A Draft Statement of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to recognize President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin as war criminal has been tabled in Ukrainian parliament.
Servant of the People’s MP Yelizaveta Bohutska is the sponsor of the document, Ukrinform reports with the reference to the Verkhovna Rada website.
However, the draft text is yet to be published. The memo to the draft states that the project has been submitted to the management (senior management/leadership).
As Ukrinform reported, on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian occupiers have been shelling and bombing peaceful towns and villages in Ukraine, torturing and killing civilians. Ukraine's defense forces have put up fierce resistance to Russian troops, inflicting heavy losses on the enemy ever since.
