English could become language of business communication in Ukraine - Shmyhal

English can receive the status of a language of business communication in Ukraine, and the Cabinet of Ministers is working on a respective legislative initiative.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said this in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.
"English can be given the status of a language of business communication in Ukraine. This possibility was discussed at a government meeting," Shmyhal said.
According to Shmyhal, English is currently used in business communication throughout the civilized world, so giving it such a status in Ukraine will promote business development and help attract investment and speed up Ukraine's integration into the EU.
"Concerned ministries have been tasked with processing proposals and drawing up the relevant documents," Shmyhal said.
