Germany to allocate funds for restoration of Odesa Philharmonic Theater - Tkachenko

Ukraine's Minister of Culture and Information Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko and Germany's Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media Claudia Roth have agreed on the allocation of funds for the restoration of the Odesa Philharmonic Theater.
According to Ukrinform, both parties agreed on this during Roth's visit to Odesa on June 6-7, Tkachenko said on Facebook.
"During Ms. Roth's visit, we visited the historical center of Odesa, the Odesa Film Studio, the Odesa Philharmonic Theater, the Opera and Ballet Theater and the National Scientific Library of Odesa. We had time to discuss many important issues: the inclusion of Odesa in the main list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, initiated by the Ministry of Information Policy and Culture and the city hall, and the full support of Germany in this process," Tkachenko wrote.
The parties also agreed on financial support for the digitalization and preservation of Ukraine's cultural heritage.
