Zelensky’s participation in G20 summit to depend on security situation in Ukraine, names of participants

President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that his participation in the G20 summit will depend on the security situation in Ukraine in the relevant period and the composition of participants in the event.

Zelensky addressed the question following talks with Indonesian President Joko Widodo in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"I am grateful, Mr. President, for your personal invitation for me to take part in the G20 summit. Of course, I accept this invitation. Ukraine's participation will depend on the security situation in Ukraine and the composition of the summit participants," Zelensky said.

In turn, the President of Indonesia announced that he had extended an invitation to President Zelensky in person to take part at the G20 summit in November.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, Indonesian President Joko Widodo arrived in Kyiv on the morning of June 29. During the visit, he visited Irpin to see the devastation caused by Russian troops before meeting with the Ukrainian leader.

Tomorrow, June 30, the President of Indonesia will visit Moscow, where he will meet with Putin.
