The Ukrainian government has approved a resolution that eases and speeds up registration of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and the procedure of obtaining social benefits.
Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for the Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk announced this in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.
In addition, the Verkhovna Rada adopted law No.7310 aimed at simplifying and speeding up the issuance of birth and death certificates to IDPs.
"These and many other legislative changes would not be possible without our public organizations. I know their contribution, and they know how grateful I am to them," the minister stressed.
As reported, the government paid a total of UAH 17.2 billion to internally displaced Ukrainians.
