Stefanchuk assures Brink: Rada ready to vote for all changes to fight corruption
Stefanchuk made a corresponding statement at a meeting with US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink.
"Military, financial, and sanctions support for Ukraine is an investment in the security of democratic values and in the security of other countries. I discussed the issue at a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USA to Ukraine Bridget Brink. I am grateful to the United States of America for the colossal financial support and military assistance that Ukrainians receive. The USA is our indisputable ally," Stefanchuk posted on Facebook.
It is now important for America to see reforms, he noted.
"It's no secret that the fight against corruption is a priority for the United States. Next to it is judicial reform and compliance of our legislation with international law. I want to assure you: Parliament is ready to implement all changes. Moreover, everyone now realizes that the list of reforms compiled by the EU and the USA is not just our homework. This is an internal necessity to change our society," the Verkhovna Rada Chairman emphasized.
He also quoted Bridget Brink who said: "Ukraine demonstrates leadership qualities on the battlefield but in the long run, it is thanks to reforms that Ukraine will finally defeat Russia."
As reported, Prosecutor General Iryna Venediktova and US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink discussed efforts to bring the Russian Federation to justice for war crimes.
