Zelensky holds talks with Côte d'Ivoire president

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held talks with President of Côte d'Ivoire Alassane Ouattara, which were the first in the history of bilateral relations.
Zelensky wrote this on his Twitter account, Ukrinform reports.
“Held the first talks in the history of bilateral relations with President of Côte d'Ivoire Alassane Ouattara. Discussed support for Ukraine within the UN. Told about countering Russia’s artificial creation of the global food crisis. Ukraine aims to open a new page in relations with the African continent!” he wrote.
As reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister of Italy Mario Draghi for supporting Ukraine, in particular, in granting the status of a candidate for EU membership.
