First Lady Zelenska speaks about Book of Executioners project at the White House
The relevant statement was made by First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“The Book of Executioners of the Ukrainian People is a project collecting the confirmed data about war criminals from the Russian army. One can access the book on the Internet and contribute to its content. During a meeting at the White House, I spoke about the project and Russian crimes in Ukraine,” Zelenska wrote.
As part of the visit, Zelenska had a personal meeting with First Lady of the United States Jill Biden, after which they jointly met with U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield, Surgeon General of the United States Vivek Murthy, Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland, USAID Deputy Administrator Isobel Coleman.
“When I met with Jill in Uzhhorod in May, I told her a lot about the needs of Ukraine and Ukrainians. And so, during my current visit to the United States, she convened a meeting with the country’s officials to talk in detail about the Ukrainian needs: assistance in implementing the psychological aid program; treatment of Ukrainian children in the United States and prosthetics services for them at American clinics; a number of educational initiatives and assistance to internally displaced persons,” Zelenska noted.
According to Zelenska, it was important to her, on behalf of the Ukrainian people, to express gratitude to First Lady of the United States Jill Biden and President of the United States Joe Biden, as well as the American people, for the assistance provided by the United States to Ukraine in its fight for freedom and independence, as well as the leadership of the United States in establishing a coalition of many countries, which share the values of democracy and freedom.
