Zelensky sacks First Deputy Secretary of NSDC

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine has dismissed Ruslan Demchenko from the post of First Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council.

The corresponding decree was published on the website of the head of state, Ukrinform reports.

"Ruslan Mykhailovych Demchenko shall be released from the post of First Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine," the document states.

The website of the National Security and Defense Council no longer has information about the first deputy secretary of the National Security Council.

Demchenko was appointed to the said position on June 16, 2020.
