Ukraine, Guatemala sign visa waiver agreement

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba and his Guatemalan counterpart Mario Adolfo Bucaro Flores have signed a visa waiver agreement and a memorandum on cooperation between diplomatic academies.

Kuleba wrote this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.

"Guatemala's leader Alejandro Giammattei paid a historic visit to Kyiv today and met President Volodymyr Zelensky. My Guatemalan counterpart Mario Adolfo Bucaro Flores and I signed a visa-free agreement and a memorandum on cooperation between diplomatic academies. Ukraine and Guatemala enjoy excellent relations," he said.

Kuleba also thanked Guatemala for consistently supporting Ukraine in resisting Russian aggression, adding that he and his Guatemalan colleague focused on the development of trade and joint industrial projects.

"By deepening ties with Guatemala, Ukraine is opening up new horizons in Latin America," he said.

Giammattei is visiting Ukraine on July 25. He has already been to Borodianka, Bucha and Irpin in the Kyiv region.
